Since 1963, the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities has presented Humanitarian Awards annually to honor individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to the promotion of respect and understanding among people of diverse racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. Our very own Clyde Clark, SVP, Relationship Manager, was recognized as a Humanitarian Award winner for the Tidewater region on March 26th, 2026.
The 2026 VCIC Tidewater Humanitarian Awards Celebration was an inspiring evening filled with heartwarming stories, recognition, and celebration. Clyde Clark stated:

Born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia, Clyde T. Clarke, Jr. is a 1991 graduate of the University of Virginia. His banking career spans over 33 years with national, regional and small banking institutions. Mr. Clark has been a fixture in Hampton Roads since 1996. He currently holds the position of Senior Vice President/Relationship Manager at Blue Ridge Bank. He has served as Chairman of the Chesapeake Economic Development Authority, Chairman and Treasurer of the Chesapeake Land Bank Authority, current Chairman and past Treasurer of the Urban League of Hampton Roads, and past Board member of VCU Health System. He also currently serves as Board Member and Secretary of the Eastern Virginia Medical School Foundation, Board Member and Treasurer of the YMCA of South Hampton Roads, Board Member of the Tidewater Community College Real Estate Foundation, Board Member of Commonwealth Savers, and Director of Aries Insurance Services.
